#178 Angry Bees (Guest Comic)

#178 Angry Bees (Guest Comic)

Today’s comic is a guest comic written and drawn (on my lovely iPad!) by my friend, colleague, roommate, and object of my secret desires Mark Warren.

Mark would like me to let you all know that he asked me to draw in the Honey Nut Cheerios Bee as a substitution for each of the bees he drew in the original comic, and I didn’t, so if it’s not funny it’s entirely my fault. Enjoy!

You know? Nester has a point, after all, “what does not kill you makes you stronger” right? I’m sure Nesters great will power will prove him the greater ubermenche…

Okay. I’m not even sure that was Nietzsche. I’m just grasping at straws now. But still messing around with Nietzschean thought even though I don’t know what that is. Thank you Conan the Barbarian.

You know, few people thank Conan the Barbarian as often as they should. Where would our world be without him?

  3. Dylan says:

Sounds like a metaphor for the Vietnam war to me. I’d say that panel 1 represents Ike, panel 2 is Kennedy, panels 3-4 are Johnson, and the last two are Nixon. Yup, I totally know all about this subject.
Actually, that comes across as being a little unfair on Johnson. He wasn’t really that bad a president, from what I know of him. He just kinda got fucked over trying to implement all the things Kennedy promised. Blame Kennedy, he promised he’d do a whole bunch of stuff then buggered off and left Johnson to do it all. Boo! That’s not very fair at all! How selfish of him, to go and get shot like that.

Dylan, nice. If that’s not what Mark had in mind, then it’s at least what he should have had in mind.

  5. Canuovea says:

    Dylan, that is brilliant.

I suppose it could also work with… the Middle East generally.
