So yeah, I totally meant to do a birthday comic in honor of myself on Tuesday (because there’s not much better than honoring yourself), but I totally forgot. Ah well. The important thing is that lots of awesomely awful things happen on my birthday apparently.

Presumably, you could have written the strip such that it actually was Aug. 24 in their world, even though it was later in ours. Would they have known the difference? Are your characters able to perceive the time at which their strip is written, in our world? Or are you just setting the time at certain points in their world so that it matches the time at which you write it?
A species that could perceive multiple dimensions of time would be pretty interesting indeed, especially if lived in two-dimensional space. (Or is it actually just a 2-d representation of three-dimensional space?)

Happy belated birthday! As long as we’re listing events for august 24th, a friend of mine was also born then, and I was born on the 14th (which, incidentally, is also my mom’s birthday). By the way, don’t feel to bad about your own creations forgetting your birthday, I once passed out before anyone else at a party in my own dream…
