    And a good one!

  2. Emil says:

Also, how many of these “Now updated every day that it is updated” tautologys can u come up with? 😀 I remember “Updated every [som week day] except wen it isn’t”. Ar ther others? :3

  3. Canuovea says:

Well, there is the idea that you only get reincarnated as a human if you are human… but…

    Even then… Yeah.

I remember hearing about one of the priestly Hindu caste fellows who did nothing wrong but kill a fly.

He came back as a frog, and got to kill flies. Reincarnation sucks.

Then again, if there is reincarnation… http://spudcomics.com/2009/01/21/karmic-justice/

  4. Emil says:

The only human thing does not work without som serius modifications. Here is the main thing to deal with: the number of humans alive changes all the time. Ther ar a lot of ways to deal with this conceptually, like that the number of eternal souls changes all the time too. However, this does not seem consistent with them being eternal. Then ther is the idea that the number of souls stay the same, but that only a fraction of them ar activ at a time. The question is then: Wat ar the non-activ souls doing in the meantime? Being inactivated or somthing? And wat exactly is the total number of souls.

Yea well, it doesn’t get prettyer even if one ansers those questions with som consistent framework.

  5. Emil says:

I think it was Keith Augustine that convinced me, years back, with his essay, The Case Against Immortality, that even the idea of life after deth, is conceptually problematic on many levels.

    Enjoy.

  6. chaospet says:

Emil, I am all about the tautologies. 😉

Canuovea – Nice comic! But if we can come back as inanimate objects like toilet paper, then the odds of our making it back as humans gets even worse!

  7. MC/Curtis says:

I would sure hate to come back as toilet paper. I’d get s… on more than I do as a human.

  8. wm tanksley says:

    Tautologies are true!

  9. Colin Matthews says:

Here’s my thought on this whole subject…
    Weeeeeeee!

  10. Amod Lele says:

Actually, Gabe’s perspective is almost exactly the traditional Buddhist view of reincarnation. This is why you’re supposed to be trying to get OFF the wheel of reincarnation and out into nirvana.

  11. Ben says:

The first rule of tautology club is the first rule of tautology club.

  12. wm tanksley says:

What is the first rule of interrogation club?

  13. Canuovea says:

That thou shalt dress in red and wear funny hats.

Because that way nobody will expect you!
