That's one of the big reasons I'm so happy with my Palm Pre; there may not be many official apps yet, but the <a href="http://www.precentral.net/homebrew-apps" rel="nofollow">homebrew community</a> is already thriving - largely thanks to Palm making things easy for them (very unlike Apple). It’s not the iPhone I hate so much as Apple’s incomprehensible standards for approving applications for the iPhone.
